Deborah Spofford Designs™ Studio

Deborah’s first design “studio” was a walk in closet in their home in Corvallis, Oregon. She was known to her family as the “Closet Crafter”. Although it was “cozy”, she enjoyed many creative hours in that closet. After several moves around the country her family is now settled in Vancouver, Washington. With the help of her husband’s handyman skills and her children’s willingness to eat many fast food meals, she opened her new studio in July 2003. Her studio continues to evolve as time passes.

Some fun ways to store your hobby supplies!

Place colored buttons in glass containers and arrange the containers in a line by color.

Collect bright colored mugs for pen and colored pencil storage.

Paint and decorate small paper mache boxes for paper clips and push pins storage – add small decorative finials to the lids for easy open and close.

Attach paint racks to the wall so it frees up your work surface.

Select baskets or brightly colored metal buckets for scissors and rotary cutters.

Look at the IKEA web site for storage inspiration for scissors and paint brushes.

Purchase several beach buckets and fill them with ribbons and other trims.

Fill small see-through food containers with eyelets, beads, and buttons.

Watch for “end of season” clearance sales in the garden and patio departments of discount stores; flower pots and brightly colored patio drink cups are great containers for pencils, markers, and small scissors.
