with vintage style using antique hankies. You can find vintage hankies in most antique
stores for about $5. Check for stains and worn spots before you buy. There
are many different designs, sizes, and colors. Sort through the piles until
you find one that you like. Materials Fabric of your choice: two pieces 11” x 19”

needle and thread Instructions: ½ inch seam allowance
Fold the hankie in half and press with an iron. Cut
the hankie ½ inch to the left of the crease.
Lay the hankie on top of the front pillow piece.
Stitch across the top of the hankie to hold it in place.
Lay a piece of cotton batting under the pillow
front. Lay the back fabric pillow piece on top of the front piece with right
sides together. Note the hankie will be sandwiched between the fabric pieces.
Lay the remaining cotton batting piece on top of the back pillow piece.
Starting at the bottom, stitch around the pillow.
Be sure that the edge of the hankie does not get
caught in the sides of the pillow.
Leave an opening in the bottom of the pillow.
Open the bottom corners of the pillow. Lay the
corners flat and stitch across the corner 1 inch from the point. Turn the
pillow right sides out. Stuff with polyester batting. Close the opening at
the bottom of the pillow.
