Created
and Presented by Deborah Spofford, CCD Put several design elements together
to create a vignette for your home, sun room or front porch. We used a bed side tray table, a shabby chic
crate, a galvanized sap bucket filled with flowers, a galvanized and
wooden planter filled with herbs and roses, and some candles. Details
were added to these items using garden themed wallpaper cutouts from Wallies®. Bed side tray table Materials: Tray
table Green
leaf Wallies®. Pfaltzgraff Naturewood Tiles Wallies®. Acrylic
paints: brown, leaf green, tan Paint
brushes Sponge Pencil Scissors Damp
cloth Supplies are available at Craft Warehouse Instructions Prepare Wipe off the inside of the tray table
with a damp cloth. Remove all
dust and loose paint. Paint the inside bottom of the tray
table with tan acrylic paint. Let
dry. Arrange nine leaves on the tray. Place the leaves in a flowing pattern as
if a vine of leaves were lying on the tray. With a pencil, draw a curly line around
and between the leaves so it looks like a vine. Moisten the back of the leaves with
a wet sponge. (See instructions
on the Wallies® pack aging) Adhere the
leaves to the tray table. Paint the vine lines with brown acrylic
paint. Use a small line brush. Cut the plants and labels out of the Naturewood® paper cutouts. Apply these to the front of the tray. Follow the instructions in step 5 to adhere
the cutouts. Paint thin curvy lines on each of the
table legs. Use vibrant green
acrylic paint. Add some small
brown dots along the green lines. Use the handle of a paint brush to
create the dots. Shabby Chic Crate Materials: 12” x
