Moss Chair Planter

             

Supplies

Moss covered chair

Garden hat

Garden gloves

Small child’s garden trowel 

Wire cutters; knife; spoon 

Flowering plant and extra potting soil

 

Instructions

1.      Cut an eight inch hole in the seat of the chair and remove the moss and foam.  Use a spoon to scoop out the foam.  Cut or remove floral pins that are in the foam.
 

2.      Place the flowering plant in the hole and fill with potting soil.   Cover dirt with sheet moss.  Use floral pins to secure the moss.
 

3.      Hang a garden hat over the back of the chair.  Place the garden gloves and trowel on the seat of the chair next to the plant.         

 

Sunflower Garden

             

Supplies

Distressed wooden drawer ( 4” x 9 ˝”)

Floral foam block

Seven tall silk sunflowers

Five silk grass sprigs

 

Instructions

1.      Cut floral foam to fit snuggly inside the drawer. 

2.      Cut sunflower stems different lengths and arrange in the drawer.  Place taller flowers in the back and shorter flowers in the front and sides.

3.      Place moss around flower stems to cover the floral foam.  Secure the moss with floral pins. 

4.      Poke grass sprigs through the moss and into the foam.  Arrange the sprigs around the bottom on the sunflower stems.

 

Flower Pot Bird Bath

             

Supplies

Terra Cotta flower pot: six inches tall

Terra Cotta flower pot saucer: eight inches

Sea sponge

Four inch Styrofoam ball 

Ceramcoat™ acrylic paint:  antique gold, spice brown,
 English yew green, dark chocolate

Twig wreath:  ten inches wide

Paper plate

Hot glue gun

Fresh flowers or candle or rocks
 

Instructions

1.      Antique the flower pot and saucer with acrylic paint.  Dampen the sponge with water and blend all the paint colors together on paper plate.  Pounce and wipe the sponge over the pot and saucer.  Let dry. 

2.      Turn the flower pot upside down.  Slide the wreath over the pot.  The wreath should fit snugly at the bottom of the pot. Hot glue the saucer onto the pot to make the bird bath.

3.      Fill the saucer with moss.  Cover the Styrofoam ball with moss.  Use floral pins to secure the moss to the ball.  Place the ball in the top of the bird bath. 

4.      Place fresh flowers, a candle, or rocks in the bird bath next to the moss ball.
