Clay Pot Candle Holders Freshen up your patio table with a set of decorative candles holders. Inexpensive flower pots create unique shapes that can be painted trendy colors or basic black. The candle holder shown below was made with three 6" clay pot bowls and one 8" saucer. Supplies 4" clay pots 6" clay pot saucers Oasis Green and Brown Iron Oxide acrylic paint Quick Tack craft glue Paint brushes Candles High gloss spray varnish Instructions Collect clay pots and saucers for each candle holder. Stack the pots in a pleasing design and glue them together. When the glue is dry, paint the pots with acrylic paint or spray them with high gloss enamel. Add designs such as stripes, dots, and wavy lines with a small paint brush. Let the paint dry. Spray with high gloss varnish. To create a different look, use a piece of sand paper to remove some of the paint before they are sprayed with varnish. Remove the paint from the edges of the saucers and from the base. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and then spray with varnish. Return to Projects
